The Journey was long

I poured my heart and soul into this project, but we are finally here!

This started as a little Blender Crash Crouse I made up on the spot for my little cousin (19). If you find the size of everything a little odd, well, I never actually changed many of his creations. I told him:

"Let's build something from scratch and put it on itch-io!"

He was hesitant since this was going to look bad in some ways, but it actually didn't. Yes, there were issues, like vertices stacked up into each other, unnecessary faces inside of objects, and (this took a long time to fix) everything not lining up well. I am not a Blender-pro, but I should've known that forcing a grid on this project would keep everything clean.

But I cleaned manually afterwards. There is probably a way to stick every vertex onto the grid with the click of a button, but I don't mind the manual labour. Modelling is calming. I like it. This took some time, but it was worth it at the end.

I wanted to have something created by him, so I could include it not only here but also in my game that I am working on. And this is why we started all of this. My game Galaxy Destroyer is being made and I need assets. This is that asset pack:

Galaxy Destroyer is still in the making, probably for quite some time still, but this is huge, a huge step!

Creating worlds from scratch is hard, you got to choose everything, and you take inspirations again and again. The bridges are inspired by the Shadow of Colossus as an example. Creating little road blocks out of everything was just myself getting inspired.

At the end, I can say that the fun was never gone for this project. I love creating and this will be used for many things in the future.

Thank you!
